I’ve always personally been involved in jobs that require travel because of my deep thirst for adventure, my longing to explore new cultures, to feel new things and to grow inside.
I think traveling is one of the most beautiful ways to find yourself, to get life experience and be touched by the magic of the world; and being able to combine it with your work and get paid for it is pretty cool!!
If travel is one of the things that makes your heart beat and you don’t want to wait until your 50s or 60’s to experience it, finding a job that requires travel could be one of the best things you do with your career.
The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun. – Christopher McCandless
I’ve listed all the jobs that require travel below(I tried to add the coolest ones I could find) with the benefits of each one:
The laptop lifestyle/internet marketer
This would have to be the most flexible of all the jobs, because it is the epitome of true freedom. You can work any hours you like, you can decide your own income, you continuously meet new amazing people through it and not only do you travel to conferences and masterminds in exotic locations but you can run it from anywhere in the world.
There is a small learning curve (of roughly 90 days) if you have no previous experience, but this is not really a downside, because you can still earn while you learn.
It’s a very creative and enriching career because it lets you combine the passions and interests you already have into your work. Success in this industry also goes hand in hand with personal growth – which grows your character and makes your life way more awesome than you ever imagined it could be!
The biggest perk of this profession and what makes it so utterly beautiful is that it’s all about designing your own life- where YOU make all the rules!! You can accommodate your work around everything that’s important in your life(being with family, your best friends, exploring new hobbies, philanthropy, long weekends, late nights and extended vacations without anyone telling you what to do or when you can take days off. It’s not even the flexibility that tops it! The work is so enjoyable (you can outsource anything you don’t like to do) that you feel like you’re on a permanent vacation all the time.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did so. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.- Mark Twain
Pilot
The training to become a pilot is extensive, but once you’re qualified, your job literally consists of flying all over the world to all different countries on a regular basis.
Some of the benefits of this career are you never have to ‘take work home with you’ you only work roughly 14 days a month, you(and your immediate family) get excellent flight discounts(or fly for free) when you travel in your spare time and hotels and rental cars are much cheaper.
As a pilot you’ll need to be in great physical health (there are exams every 6 months) and also very mentally fit, because other people’s lives depend upon your ability to stay calm and solve problems while on the job.
Most airlines require a license, perfect vision, perfect hearing and a minimum of 250 hours of flight experience.

Becoming a travel nurse is an excellent profession if you love to look after others, you like the adventure of experiencing new cities and you want a job that will always be in demand.
There is a huge shortfall in trained medical staff in most areas of the world (especially in third world countries and remote areas) and whilst some areas can be dangerous, the rewards of looking after the sick and providing medical attention is very noble and beautiful work.
As a registered nurse you can usually find both short and longer term positions all over the world in exciting destinations (or even across your own country). The pay and benefits are usually good and you get to care for people whilst experiencing new work environments and situations and enjoying each new city you live in.
The only downside is that you may be required to sit an additional exam whenever you relocate.

We travel, initially, to lose ourselves; and we travel, next to find ourselves. We travel to open our hearts and eyes and learn more about the world than our newspapers will accommodate. We travel to bring what little we can, in our ignorance and knowledge, to those parts of the globe whose riches are differently dispersed. And we travel, in essence, to become young fools again- to slow time down and get taken in, and fall in love once more. – Pico Iyer
